Welcome to the Panhandle Perspective. It was with much encouragement, (or maybe I got pushed into this?) to start a blog regarding the Panhandle of OK.
I’ve been amazed at the number of people that actually think the end of the Panhandle is Woodward…Okay, so Woodward is the eastern end…but when you arrive at Woodward from the east, there is more…about 185 miles more to our state. If you can survive those miles, you could find yourself saying, “This is the best kept secret in the state!” OR others have been heard to say, “Why would anyone want to live out here?” We are unique to the state, not only because of location and population per acre, but we’re unique in that we love it here and have chosen to live here…80 or so miles from the nearest WalMart stores…in 3 different states isn’t our greatest challenge, nor is it all that important…to us anyway. I still say we have the prettiest sunsets in the world!
As time and energy permits, I hope to become a little more tech-savvy as well as making this a good place to share information, opinions, and hopefully a little encouragement along the way.
